The laboratory for Engineered Microbial Systems welcomes Master students and Interns to run their projects at Aarhus University.
The ongoing laboratory activities concern:
- Hydrocarbon metabolism in pure and mixed microbial cultures exposed to deep-sea hydrostatic pressure;
- Microbial degradation of lignocellulose in gut microbiomes (e.g., giant panda, slugs) and other poorly explored niches (e.g., leaf-cutter ants).
