We proudly host the largest continuous HTL pilot plant currently under operation in an academic setting. The HTL reactor has a unique design to ensure high heat recovery and high velocity in the "plug flow" type reactor.
The capacity of the plant is up to 100 L/h but we generally process biomass slurries at 60 L/h. The slurry is quickly heated using the heat exchanger to 350C and pumped continuously to a pressure of around 200 bar. .....
