In my research, I focus on the effect of feeding on enteric methane from dairy cows, with special focus on supplemental fat and forage quality.
Due to my close relation to practical farming and the industry, I am especially interested in topics with a high degree of technological readiness and relevance in practice, that can lead to improvements in the entire value chain.
During more than 7 years outside the university, I have worked as a nutritionist for organic dairy farms, and as a specialist for agriculture and sustainability in Arla Foods. During this time, I have worked in close collaboration with, among others, farmers, the feed industry, other dairies, research organizations and farmer organizations in Denmark and abroad, especially in Germany and Great Britain. The coopeperation mainly covered reducing the carbon footprint of milk and management changes on farm.
