Brief Introduction

Dr. Shuang Luo’s research interests are focused toward developing sustainable technologies for organic pollutants from water treatments. Current research includes but are not limited to: 1) emerging organic pollutants in the environment, including PFAS; 2) advanced reduction techniques and advanced oxidation for persistent pollutants control; 3) microalgae for water treatment and carbon dioxide recovery; and 4) develop predictive models for various contaminants in the environment and treatment plants.

Shuang Luo’s diverse works are featured in more than 50 peer-reviewed papers, of which in 16 are the first and corresponding author (h-Index: 23, i10-index 30, Citations>1850 times, Google Scholar), among which 12 papers are recognized as the ESI 1% Highly Cited Paper and 4 papers as the ESI 0.1% Hot Paper. In addition, he has served as a reviewer for >20 journals in the field of environmental (>100 review invitations completed) and presented 2 posters and talks in international conferences. He has completed 6 PI of independent projects including the Natural Science Foundation of China (NFSC) with a total funding of 2M DKK, and has also applied 4 Chinese national patents. In addition, Dr. Shuang Luo is currently serving as the Guest Editor of special issue of Polymers (SCI, JCR Q1), Young Editorial Board for Modern Chemical Research (Chinese) and Nonferrous Metals (Mining Section) (Chinese).
