Profile

"As an early-career researcher with a background in biomass valorisation technologies, I am thrilled to embark on a new chapter as a postdoctoral fellow at Aarhus University. My journey, which began with formative research years in South Africa under the mentorship of Prof. Yusuf Makarfi, Isa, has taken me across continents, from Cape Town to Naples and beyond. Having received recognition for my master's research work with the Eni Young Talent from Africa Award, I pursued a Ph.D. in Industrial Product and Process Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II where I was mentored by Prof. Piero Salatino.

During my research fellowships at Eni S.p.A mass spectrometry laboratory in Novara and PetroSA Synthetic Fuels Research Centre in Cape Town, I delved into the intricacies of fuels research and innovation. My passion for futuristic alternative energy options has led me to Aarhus University, where I am excited to contribute to the production of carbon-negative hydrogen from biogas. Collaborating with esteemed colleagues, I will hope to advance sustainable and innovative processes, thus echoing my commitment to a carbon-conscious future.

I look forward to leveraging my expertise in catalytic development, sustainable feedstock selection, and biorefinery operation optimization to make meaningful contributions to the success of this project. My academic journey has been marked by excellence, international exposure, and a dedication to pioneering research. As I embark on this new endeavour, I am confident that my experiences will enrich the collaborative efforts at Aarhus University and contribute to the broader landscape of sustainable energy solutions."
