Air Quality Engineering

Access to clean air is a basic demand for humanity. Air pollution is currently the strongest contribution to premature deaths in the world and is associated with a range of diseases and nuisance. Livestock production contributes strongly to air pollution by emissions of ammonia, sulfur compounds, volatile organic compounds (VOC) and particulate matter. Our research has a focus on developing environmental technologies for reduction of emissions from livestock production as well as on developing methods for characterizing and documenting emissions and their impact.
